EMBROIDERY by Hand - Beginning and refresher levels. Learn the basic stitches, and what fabrics, threads, and tools to use. ENGLISH PATHWAYS—A PROGRESSIVE PATCHWORK PROGRAM—FEATURING KAYE ENGLANDS Wonderful and Infectious Fabrics - This 6 month program will be taught by Lindy and Carolyn Lessing, who are masters at piecing! LAUREL ANDERSON - Color Workshop - Would you like to gain color confidence? Explore a dozen different ways to choose colors for quilts. Enjoy a fun filled class experiencing the world of color, value and texture. You will leave with a notebook filled with enough color combinations to last for years. (Beginner to advanced.). LINDA BALLARD - Checkers Star - The quilt consists of a pieced block with sashing and pieced corner squares. Using the background fabric as the sashing, this gives you the illusion of seeing a ‘whole quilt’. The quilt will be template free with quick and easy tricks to piecing those ‘framed squares and chubby geese’. The quilt will be a great addition for any quilt lover. MACHINE QUILTING TOPS AND BEYOND — Have quilt tops? Let’s learn how to layer and pin baste them so we can quilt the designs! The class will be limited to seven students. PENNY RUG ENCORE - By popular demand an ENCORE CLASS — WOOL! We are having a party to start off our penny rug class. Come by the shop to see the beautiful rod iron stand and the luxurious wool hanging. Teachers: Gretchen & Lindy. Thursday, Jan 14 (10:30-2:30) Cost: $58.00 (Included in the first kit is an rod iron quilt rack, pattern and the wool.)

PENNY RUG MONTHLY CLASS - Each month we will be making a penny rug from the luxurious hand dyed wool that Lindy is bringing to the shop. The monthly themed penny rugs will mount onto the wool flag made last October or on January 14th. 2nd Saturdays 12:00-2:00 (Starts Sat. Jan. 9) Gretchen and Lindy co-teach the class. Kit Cost: $20.00 a month

QUILT INN — Bring your own project on the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month (4:30-8:00) and join other quilters working on their own projects. It’s a “Quilt Inn!” Paulette will be here to answer questions, help you if you are struggling, and quilt along with you. Reservations are advised to reserve your spot for this shop favorite. Cost: $5.00 per session

RULERS RULE - You will learn how to use the Nifty Notions “Cut for a Cure” rulers. Lindy will teach you quick and accurate cutting techniques. You will make a small sampler. Thursday, Feb. 4 (10:30-1:30) Cost: $5.00 + purchase of at least one ruler.

TIME for TEA and EMBROIDERY - Bring the hand project you are working on. We will sit and stitch together while enjoying each others company over a cup of tea. Shirley will be available to answer questions, and stir a little sugar into a relaxing embroidery heaven. (PS-if you hand appliqué you are welcome too!) Last Friday, Jan. 29, Feb. 26, Mar 26 (2:00-5:00). Sign up for one date or all three. Reservations required so I will know how much to bake :0) Cost: $6.00 per date

ZIG-ZAG SHANGRI LA JELLY ROLL - A fairly easy but dramatic way to utilize jelly rolls. It is a unique pattern that looks difficult—but is not!.. Class Policy—You may sign up for our classes in person or over the phone.  We take Visa, A/E and M/C.  Each class has a supply list, please ask for it at the time you register and be prepared with your supplies before the day of the class.  Our staff is happy to help you prepare ahead to make your class time successful.  If we cancel the class you will be given a store credit or a refund. You may cancel up to 72 hours (3 days) in advance of the class for a store credit.
