About Lindy

Check out Lindy's classes.

For over 25 years Lindy has been involved in quilting. Since 1983 she has had continuing education on quilts and quilt making. She helped coordinate the California Heritage Quilt Project in 1986, when it came to Sacramento. Working with Michael Kile and Rod Kiracofe, during the Quilt Search Days, she gained valuable information while becoming a quilt appraiser.

Lindy has been appraising quilts for the last ten years. She has been the quilt appraiser at the Crocker Art Museum for the last 5 years during their “Evaluation Day”.

As a former quilt shop owner Lindy has taught most quilting techniques. In 1986 she took a class from Mary Ellen Hopkins and has been a believer every since. Her favorite quilts are traditional. When it became apparent that a hand applique teacher was needed in Sacramento she took classes from the top teachers in the country and started teaching hand applique. Returning from Applique Academy in Annapolis, she brought a great new way of applique she calls Applique by the Numbers.

In 2000 Lindy started taking classes from Kaye England. Using Kaye and Mary Ellen concepts she had developed a update form of piecing and patchwork.

In 2012 she will leave two trips to Ireland (June / August).
